North Sentinel Island

North Sentinel Island
North Sentinel Island

North Sentinel Island is one of the Andaman Islands, an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal which also includes South Sentinel Island. The island is a protected area of India. It is home to the Sentinelese, an indigenous tribe in voluntary isolation who have defended, often by force, their protected isolation from the outside world.

+12 miles) wide, and its area is approximately 60 square kilometres (23 sq mi).

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Protection of Aboriginal Tribes Regulation 1956 prohibits travel to the island and any approach closer than five nautical miles (nine kilometres), in order to protect the remaining tribal community from "mainland" infectious diseases against which they likely have no acquired immunity. The area is patrolled by the Indian Navy.

Nominally, the island belongs to the South Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In practice, Indian authorities recognise the islanders' desire to be left alone, restricting outsiders to remote monitoring (by boat and sometimes air) from a reasonably safe distance; the Government of India will not prosecute the Sentinelese for killing people in the event that an outsider ventures ashore. In 2018, the Government of India excluded 29 islands—including North Sentinel—from the Restricted Area Permit (RAP) regime, in a major effort to boost tourism.

In November 2018, the government's home ministry stated that the relaxation of the prohibition on visitations was intended to allow researchers and anthropologists (with pre-approved clearance) to finally visit the Sentinel islands.

The Sentinelese have repeatedly attacked approaching vessels, whether the boats were intentionally visiting the island or simply ran aground on the surrounding coral reef. The islanders have been observed shooting arrows at boats, as well as at low-flying helicopters. Such attacks have resulted in injury and death. In 2006, islanders killed two fishermen whose boat had drifted ashore, and in 2018 an American Christian missionary, 26-year-old John Chau, was killed after he illegally attempted to make contact with the islanders three separate times and paid local fishermen to transport him to the island.

Have you ever heard of the North Sentinel Island, a remote island in the Bay of Bengal, India? This mysterious and isolated island has been out- limits to outsiders for decades. With the help of drone technology, we’re now suitable to explore this enigmatic island and gain a better understanding of its inhabitants and their way of life.

Introduction

The North Sentinel Island is one of the last remaining tribes that remain uncontacted by ultramodern civilization. The Sentinelese people, who inhabit the island, are known for their hostility towards outsiders and have been known to attack anyone who tries to approach their land. Due to their resistance, little is known about the tribe and their way of life. still, recent advancements by drone technology have allowed us to get a glimpse into this uncommunicative community.

The Drone North Sentinel Island

Using drone technology, we’re now suitable to study the North Sentinel Island from a safe distance. The drones allow us to capture upstanding footage of the island and its inhabitants without disturbing their way of life. This technology has been critical in uncovering the mysteries of this isolated island.

The Geography of the North Sentinel Island

The North Sentinel Island is a small island located in the Bay of Bengal, measuring roughly 72 square kilometers. The island is girdled by coral reefs, which make it delicate to approach by boat. The thick jungle and thick vegetation on the island make it nearly insolvable to explore on foot.

The Sentinelese People

The Sentinelese people are believed to have inhabited the North Sentinel Island for thousands of years. The tribe is estimated to have a population of roughly 50- 150 individuals, making it one of the lowest and most isolated tribes in the world.

The Sentinelese Culture

The culture of the Sentinelese people is shrouded in mystery. Due to their hostility towards outsiders, little is known about their way of life. still, from the limited observations made by anthropologists and through the use of drones, we’ve been suitable to gain some insight into their culture.

The Sentinelese Language

The language of the Sentinelese people is unique and has not been completely understood by linguists. It’s believed to be a language isolate, meaning that it isn’t related to any other language in the world.

Harvest Food

February 06, 2025

The abomination of desolation is a phrase from the Book of Daniel describing the pagan sacrifices with which the 2nd century BC Greek king Antiochus IV Epiphanes replaced the twice-daily offering in the Jewish temple, or alternatively, the altar on which such offerings were made.

In the 1st century AD it was taken up by the authors of the gospels in the context of the Roman destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in the year 70, with the Gospel of Mark placing the "abomination of desolation" into a speech by Jesus concerning the Second Coming.

It is widely accepted that Mark was the primary source used by the authors of the Gospel of Matthew and of Luke for their parallel passages, with Matthew 24:15–16 adding a reference to Daniel and Luke 21:20–21 giving a description of the Roman armies ("But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies..."); in all three it is likely that the authors had in mind a future eschatological (i.e., end-time) event, and perhaps the activities of some antichrist.

Trey Knowles - Harvest Food is an allegory message describing the Abomination of desolation displayed in Jerusalem with pride parades. This message follows up with people who do such things deserve death based on Romans 1:18-32.

Romans 1:18-32. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice.

They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Gideon

February 05, 2025

Trey Knowles's Gideon message scene is asking the people what side they are on, either with God or not with God as judgment comes closer. In the Bible, God's judgment against the Midianites was carried out through Gideon, a seemingly ordinary man chosen by God to lead the Israelites to victory against a much larger enemy, demonstrating that God can use even the weakest of individuals to bring about justice when his people are faithful and obedient; Gideon's story is found in the Book of Judges, highlighting God's power to deliver his people from oppression through unlikely heroes like Gideon, who initially doubted his ability to fulfill the task but ultimately trusted in God's guidance and strength.

Comedy: Lady Liberty

February 05, 2025

Lady Liberty is like an enticing snake saying you can be your own god; you have a right to do whatever you want in fact, she might be the same snake in the Garden of Eden, home of the free and the home of the brave. Trey Knowles's allegory comedy Lady Liberty shows exactly that.

Comedy: The Democratic Congress Way

Project 2025

February 03, 2025

Project 2025

With a church on every corner in America why is America so wicked? Jeremiah repeatedly urged the kings of Judah, particularly King Zedekiah, to repent from their wicked ways and turn back to God. We need a president like Josiah who will turn down the wickedness of America and renew the covenant. Project 2025 is Trey Knowles incentive to aid Trump to tear down the wickedness of America to establish the covenant of God by living by every word of God, in the spirit of God. Trey Knowles Project 2025 is like Jeremiah telling the people of America to repent from their sin.

Comedy Special: Surrogate

February 03, 2025

Trey Knowles's “Surrogate” is an allegoric powerful comedy about depending on God and not ourselves and not technology. Anything that does not fit the spirit of God, you have the power over it. You are the head and not the tail.

Anybody who wants to control the universe and people's minds does not come from God but from the devil. For this reason, the devil was kicked out of heaven. There's only one God our Father the master of the universe.

Rahab symbolizes pride, arrogance, rebellion, and power. In Surrogate allegoric comedy, the comic demonstrates a parable using Elon Musk's character and behavior matching it with the Superman planet which was destroyed.

Was it not my Lord who cut Rahab into pieces, who pierced the dragon? Trey Knowles explains to his audience if God did not spare his angels when they sinned but saved us, by sending his only begotten son Jesus our Lord. Why do you continue to sin? Why not repent?

Advoid Myths and Focus on Godliness

Advoid Myths and Focus on Godliness

The Bible has several verses that warn against myths and meaningless speculations. Here are some examples:

1 Timothy 4:7: "Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly."

Note: What is important is to be Godly by obedience living by faith

1 Timothy 1:4: "Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don’t help people live a life of faith in God."

2 Timothy 4:3-4: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths."

Titus 3:9 "Avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless."

Note: Avoid genealogies what matters is God created you.

The World Is Not My Kingdom

January 28, 2025

Help me to separate from the world my Lord. The only thing that matters to me is love and living by the spirit through obedience. I will concern myself with nothing of the world. My treasure is doing God's will. My heart is absent from the world, and my spirit is present with God. The world is not my kingdom. In the Lord, I am in perfect peace.

The World Is Not My Kingdom

Nat Turner Rebellion

January 28, 2025

Nat Turner (October 2, 1800 – November 11, 1831) was an enslaved Black carpenter and preacher who led a four-day rebellion of both enslaved and free Black people in Southampton County, Virginia in August 1831.

Nat Turner's Rebellion resulted in the death of 55 White men, women, and children before state militias suppressed the uprising, while 120 Black men, women, and children, many of whom were not involved in the revolt, were killed by soldiers and local mobs in retaliation. Turner was captured in October 1831 and executed after a trial in November. Before his execution, he told his story to attorney Thomas Ruffin Grey, who published The Confessions of Nat Turner in November 1831.

In 2002, scholar Molefi Kete Asante included Nat Turner on his list of 100 Greatest African Americans. Turner has been depicted in films, literature, and plays, as well as many scholarly works.

Early life

Turner was born into slavery on October 2, 1800, in Southampton County, Virginia. Southampton County was a rural plantation area with more Black people than White. Benjamin Turner, the man who held Nat and his family as slaves, called the infant Nat in his records. Even when grown, the slave was known simply as Nat; but after the 1831 rebellion, he was widely referred to as Nat Turner.

Turner knew little about the background of his father, who was believed to have escaped from slavery when Turner was a child.  However, Turner grew up "much attached to his grandmother".

Turner learned how to read and write at a young age. He was identified as having "natural intelligence and quickness of apprehension, surpassed by few". He grew up deeply religious and was often seen fasting, praying, or immersed in reading the stories of the Bible.

Benjamin Turner died in 1810, and his son Samuel inherited Nat. When he was 21, Nat Turner escaped from Samuel Turner; but he returned a month later, after becoming delirious from hunger and receiving a vision that told him to "return to the service of my earthly master". In 1830, Joseph Travis purchased Turner; Turner later recalled that Travis was "a kind master" who "placed the greatest confidence" in him.

An 1831 reward notice described Turner as:

5 feet 6 or 8 inches [168–173 cm] high, weighs between 150 and 160 pounds [68–73 kg], rather "bright" [light-colored] complexion, but not a mulatto, broad shoulders, larger flat nose, large eyes, broad flat feet, rather knockneed [sic], walks brisk and active, hair on the top of the head very thin, no beard, except on the upper lip and the top of the chin, a scar on one of his temples, also one on the back of his neck, a large knot on one of the bones of his right arm, near the wrist, produced by a blow.

Turner was deeply religious and was often seen fasting, praying, or immersed in reading the stories of the Bible. He had visions that he interpreted as messages from God, and which influenced his life. The historian Patrick Breen stated, "Nat Turner thought that God used the natural world as a backdrop in front of which he placed signs and omens." Breen further states that Nat Turner claimed he possessed a gift of prophecy and that he could interpret these divine revelations.

Turner often conducted religious services, preaching the Bible to his fellow slaves, who dubbed him "The Prophet". In addition to Blacks, Turner garnered some White followers such as Ethelred T. Brantley, whom Turner baptized after convincing him to "cease from his wickedness".

When he was 21, Nat Turner escaped but returned a month later, after receiving a vision that told him to "return to the service of my earthly master". In 1824, Turner had a second vision while working in the fields for Thomas Moore: "The Saviour was about to lay down the yoke he had borne for the sins of men, and the great day of judgment was at hand".

Historian David Allmendinger notes that Turner had ten different supernatural experiences between 1822 and 1828. These included appearances of both the Spirit communicating through a religious language and scripture along with the visions of the Holy Ghost. By the spring of 1828, Turner was convinced that he "was ordained for some great purpose in the hands of the Almighty".

Turner said he "heard a loud noise in the heavens" while working in Moore's fields on May 12th "and the Spirit instantly appeared to me and said the Serpent was loosened, and Christ had laid down the yoke he had borne for the sins of men, and that I should take it on and fight against the Serpent, for the time was fast approaching when the first should be last and the last should be first". Historian and theologian Joseph Dreis says, "In connecting this vision to the motivation for his rebellion, Turner makes it clear that he sees himself as participating in the confrontation between God's Kingdom and the anti-Kingdom that characterized his social-historical context."

During the 1820s, Turner was motivated by strong convictions, at least partly inspired by his religious beliefs, to organize his fellow slaves against enslavement. His deep spiritual commitment served as a significant influence on slaves within the surrounding plantations in Virginia. After Turner viewed the solar eclipse in 1831, he was certain that God wanted the revolt to commence.

Edomites Wickedness Behind the Scenes

January 27, 2025

Edomites Wickedness Behind the Scenes

Edomites Wickedness Behind the Scenes by Trey Knowles:

Watch the world closely. Watch those who say that they are a gentile nation. Watch those heathens. Do they match the image of God? Be an eyewitness and tell all of your family and friends.

The devil took Jesus to a high place and showed him all the kingdoms of the world. The devil said, “I will give you all these kingdoms and all their power and glory”. The devil said, “If you worship me, it will all be yours”. Jesus responded, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.

How are you responding to the devil, are you responding like Jesus? The European Red Man said yes to the devil and the devil's ways to have the world.

The devil took the European Red Man to a high place and showed him all the kingdoms of the world. The devil said, “I will give you all these kingdoms and all their power and glory”. The devil said, “If you worship me, it will all be yours”. the European Red Man responded. Yes, I will take it.

Why do you follow the European Red Man and his ways?

Those who call themselves Gentiles, the shadow of death is near you if you do not repent, come out her way. If Sodom and Gomorrah had the advanced intellect of faith, that you claim to have it would not have been destroyed.

Hebrews 13:5 says, "Keep your life free from love of money and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Exodus 20:17 says Do not covet” which is a commandment from God that prohibits having an unlawful desire for something that belongs to someone else.

My Lord says in 1 John 2:15-29. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Why are those gentile nations trying to influence you to gain the world and love money? What those heathen Gentiles and stay away from their pagan rituals and holidays.

Do not allow them to influence you. Why do they colonize? Why do they do the opposite of God's character?

Their stomach has become fat from the things of the world. They have been wrestling with pigs for pig's food. This greed does not come from God but from the devil.

Now watch Edomite's wickedness behind the scenes, those who call good evil and evil good. He deceives the whole world with his disobedient deeds, He causes havoc to all mankind to conquer the world.

The Matthew Project Chapter 4 - Jesus Is Tested In the Wilderness

January 22, 2025

Matthew 4: 4-11- Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness

4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.

6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.

9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” 11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

 King Charles III is a descendant of Vlad the Impaler by Trey Knowles

King Charles III is a descendant of Vlad the Impaler

Recap King James of King James bible version killed his own mother to become King. Yes, that King James. He is also a descendant of the dragon Vlad the Impaler also.

Present day of year 2025. King Charles III is a descendant of Vlad the Impaler, the 15th-century Romanian ruler who inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula:

Ancestry

King Charles is the 16th great-grandson of Vlad the Impaler through his great-grandmother, Queen Mary of Teck. Mary is thought to be descended from two of Vlad's sons.

Vlad the Impaler

Vlad the Impaler, also known as Vlad III or Vlad Dracula, was a brutal warlord who impaled his enemies on wooden stakes. His brutal actions inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula, though historians suggest that Stoker based the character more on Romanian folklore.

King Charles's connection to Romania

King Charles has a fascination with Transylvania and owns several properties in Romania, including in Viscri, the Zalanului Valley, Malancrav, and Breb. He visits the region every year and opens up his properties to visitors. He also supports The King's Foundation Romania, which works with local communities to develop practical skills.

Jeremiah 50 A Message About Babylon

January 20, 2025

Note: It is written in 1 John 2: 16 For all that is in the world — the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life — is not from the Father but is from the world.

Now think about Jeremiah 50. A Message About Babylon:

Could it happen again? Is Babylon America Today? Does America do the will of God or do they do the opposite? You will know by their fruit. Will America turn back from its evil ways and tell their nation to repent.

50 This is the word the Lord spoke through Jeremiah the prophet concerning Babylon and the land of the Babylonians:

“Announce and proclaim among the nations,
    lift up a banner and proclaim it;
    keep nothing back, but say,
‘Babylon will be captured;
    Bel will be put to shame,
    Marduk filled with terror.
Her images will be put to shame
    and her idols filled with terror.’
 A nation from the north will attack her
    and lay waste her land.
No one will live in it;
    both people and animals will flee away.

“In those days, at that time,”
    declares the Lord,
the people of Israel and the people of Judah together
    will go in tears to seek the Lord their God.
 They will ask the way to Zion
    and turn their faces toward it.
They will come and bind themselves to the Lord
    in an everlasting covenant
    that will not be forgotten.

“My people have been lost sheep;
    their shepherds have led them astray
    and caused them to roam on the mountains.
They wandered over mountain and hill
    and forgot their own resting place.
 Whoever found them devoured them;
    their enemies said, ‘We are not guilty,
for they sinned against the Lord, their verdant pasture,
    the Lord, the hope of their ancestors.’

 “Flee out of Babylon;
    leave the land of the Babylonians,
    and be like the goats that lead the flock.
For I will stir up and bring against Babylon
    an alliance of great nations from the land of the north.
They will take up their positions against her,
    and from the north she will be captured.
Their arrows will be like skilled warriors
    who do not return empty-handed.
So Babylonia will be plundered;
    all who plunder her will have their fill,”
declares the Lord.

 “Because you rejoice and are glad,
    you who pillage my inheritance,
because you frolic like a heifer threshing grain
    and neigh like stallions,
 your mother will be greatly ashamed;
    she who gave you birth will be disgraced.
She will be the least of the nations—
    a wilderness, a dry land, a desert.
 Because of the Lord’s anger she will not be inhabited
    but will be completely desolate.
All who pass Babylon will be appalled;
    they will scoff because of all her wounds.

“Take up your positions around Babylon,
    all you who draw the bow.
Shoot at her! Spare no arrows,
    for she has sinned against the Lord.
 Shout against her on every side!
    She surrenders, her towers fall,
    her walls are torn down.
Since this is the vengeance of the Lord,
    take vengeance on her;
    do to her as she has done to others.
 Cut off from Babylon the sower,
    and the reaper with his sickle at harvest.
Because of the sword of the oppressor
    let everyone return to their own people,
    let everyone flee to their own land.

 “Israel is a scattered flock
    that lions have chased away.
The first to devour them
    was the king of Assyria;
the last to crush their bones
    was Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.”

Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says:

“I will punish the king of Babylon and his land
    as I punished the king of Assyria.
But I will bring Israel back to their own pasture,
    and they will graze on Carmel and Bashan;
their appetite will be satisfied
    on the hills of Ephraim and Gilead.
 In those days, at that time,”
    declares the Lord,
search will be made for Israel’s guilt,
    but there will be none,
and for the sins of Judah,
    but none will be found,
    for I will forgive the remnant I spare.

“Attack the land of Merathaim
    and those who live in Pekod.
Pursue, kill and completely destroy them,”
declares the Lord.
    “Do everything I have commanded you.
 The noise of battle is in the land,
    the noise of great destruction!
How broken and shattered
    is the hammer of the whole earth!
How desolate is Babylon
    among the nations!
I set a trap for you, Babylon,
    and you were caught before you knew it;
you were found and captured
    because you opposed the Lord.
 The Lord has opened his arsenal
    and brought out the weapons of his wrath,
for the Sovereign Lord Almighty has work to do
    in the land of the Babylonians.
 Come against her from afar.
    Break open her granaries;
    pile her up like heaps of grain.
Completely destroy her
    and leave her no remnant.
Kill all her young bulls;
    let them go down to the slaughter!
Woe to them! For their day has come,
    the time for them to be punished.
Listen to the fugitives and refugees from Babylon
    declaring in Zion
how the Lord our God has taken vengeance,
    vengeance for his temple.

“Summon archers against Babylon,
    all those who draw the bow.
Encamp all around her;
    let no one escape.
Repay her for her deeds;
    do to her as she has done.
For she has defied the Lord,
    the Holy One of Israel.
 Therefore, her young men will fall in the streets;
    all her soldiers will be silenced in that day,”
declares the Lord.
 “See, I am against you, you arrogant one,”
    declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty,
for your day has come,
    the time for you to be punished.
The arrogant one will stumble and fall
    and no one will help her up;
I will kindle a fire in her towns
    that will consume all who are around her.”

This is what the Lord Almighty says:

“The people of Israel are oppressed,
    and the people of Judah as well.
All their captors hold them fast,
    refusing to let them go.
Yet their Redeemer is strong;
    the Lord Almighty is his name.
He will vigorously defend their cause
    so that he may bring rest to their land,
    but unrest to those who live in Babylon.

 “A sword against the Babylonians!”
    declares the Lord
against those who live in Babylon
    and against her officials and wise men!
A sword against her false prophets!
    They will become fools.
A sword against her warriors!
    They will be filled with terror.
A sword against her horses and chariots
    and all the foreigners in her ranks!
    They will become weaklings.
A sword against her treasures!
    They will be plundered.
A drought on her waters!
    They will dry up.
For it is a land of idols,
    idols that will go mad with terror.

So desert creatures and hyenas will live there,
    and there the owl will dwell.
It will never again be inhabited
    or lived in from generation to generation.
As I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah
    along with their neighboring towns,”
declares the Lord,
so no one will live there;
    no people will dwell in it.

“Look! An army is coming from the north;
    a great nation and many kings
    are being stirred up from the ends of the earth.
 They are armed with bows and spears;
    they are cruel and without mercy.
They sound like the roaring sea
    as they ride on their horses;
they come like men in battle formation
    to attack you, Daughter Babylon.
The king of Babylon has heard reports about them,
    and his hands hang limp.
Anguish has gripped him,
    pain like that of a woman in labor.
Like a lion coming up from Jordan’s thickets
    to a rich pastureland,
I will chase Babylon from its land in an instant.
    Who is the chosen one I will appoint for this?
Who is like me and who can challenge me?
    And what shepherd can stand against me?”

Therefore, hear what the Lord has planned against Babylon,
    what he has purposed against the land of the Babylonians:
The young of the flock will be dragged away;
    their pasture will be appalled at their fate.
At the sound of Babylon’s capture the earth will tremble;
    its cry will resound among the nations.

Note: America Pride of Life. How long will the Lord will put up with this.

The phrase “pride of life” is found only once in the Bible, in 1 John 2:16, but the concept of the pride of life, especially as it is linked with the “lust of the eyes” and the “lust of the flesh,” appears in two more significant passages of Scripture—the temptation of Eve in the Garden and the temptation of Christ in the wilderness (Matthew 4:8-10). The pride of life can be defined as anything that is “of the world,” meaning anything that leads to arrogance, ostentation, pride in self, presumption, and boasting. John makes it clear that anything that produces the pride of life comes from a love of the world and “if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15).

The first example of the temptation of the pride of life occurs in the Garden of Eden, where Eve was tempted by the serpent to disobey God and eat the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve perceived that the fruit was “good for food,” “pleasing to the eye,” and “desirable for gaining wisdom” (Genesis 3:6). She coveted the fruit in three ways. First, it was appealing to her appetite. This John refers to as the “lust of the flesh,” the desire for that which satisfies any of the physical needs. The fruit was also pleasing or delightful to the eye, that which we see and desire to own or possess. Here is the “lust of the eyes” John refers to. Finally, Eve somehow perceived that the fruit would make her wise, giving her a wisdom beyond her own. Part of Satan’s lie was that eating the fruit would make her “like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5).

Here is the essence of the pride of life—anything that exalts us above our station and offers the illusion of God-like qualities, wherein we boast in arrogance and worldly wisdom. Eve wanted to be like God in her knowledge, not content to live in a perfect world under His perfect grace and care for her. Satan tried these same three temptations on Christ during His 40 days in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11). He tempted Jesus with the lust of the flesh, bread for His hunger, the lust of the eyes, “all the kingdoms of the world with their splendor”, and the pride of life, daring Him to cast Himself from the roof of the Temple in order to prove that He was the Messiah by an ostentatious display of power that was not in the will of God or His plan for the redemption of mankind. But Jesus, though He was “tempted in every way, just as we are” (Hebrews 4:15), resisted the devil and used the Word of God to ensure victory over him.

Christians have always been, and will always be, lured by the same three temptations Eve and Jesus experienced. Satan doesn’t change his methods; he doesn’t have to because they continue to be successful. He tempts us with the lust of the flesh—sexual gratification, gluttony, excessive alcohol consumption, and drugs, both legal and illegal, as well as the “deeds of the flesh” about which Paul warned the Galatians, “sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these” (Galatians 5:19-21). He tempts us with the lust of the eyes—the endless accumulation of “stuff” with which we fill our homes and garages and the insatiable desire for more, better, and newer possessions, which ensnares us and hardens our hearts to the things of God.

But perhaps his most evil temptation is the pride of life, the very sin that resulted in Satan’s expulsion from heaven. He desired to be God, not to be a servant of God (Isaiah 14:12-15). The arrogant boasting which constitutes the pride of life motivates the other two lusts as it seeks to elevate itself above all others and fulfill all personal desires. It is the root cause of strife in families, churches, and nations. It exalts the self in direct contradiction to Jesus’ statement that those who would follow Him must take up their cross (an instrument of death) and deny themselves. The pride of life stands in our way if we truly seek to be servants of God. It is the arrogance that separates us from others and limits our effectiveness in the kingdom. The pride of life “comes not from the Father, but from the world.” And, as such, it is passing away with the world, but those who resist and overcome the temptation of the pride of life do the will of God, and “the man who does the will of God lives forever” (1 John 2:17).
